Concorde Strengthens Partnership with Hitachi Energy Amid Growing Market Demand

Concorde Specialty Gases (Eatontown, NJ) has expanded its strategic multi-year relationship with Hitachi Energy (Mt. Pleasant, PA) to supply high-purity insulating gases used in high-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.

The agreement ensures a stable, long-term supply of specialty gases to support Hitachi’s new high-voltage equipment production and field service needs across North America. It builds on a trusted partnership spanning more than 15 years.

As demand for high-voltage equipment continues to accelerate, driven by AI data center growth, domestic manufacturing, and grid modernization, OEMs and utilities are increasingly prioritizing reliable supply partners. Concorde Specialty Gases’ ability to deliver high-purity gases on time and at scale positions the company to meet these critical needs without interruption.

“Today, having a supply partner that can consistently deliver at scale is more important than ever,” said Thomas Chisholm, Director of Operations and Services at Concorde Specialty Gases. “We are proud to support Hitachi Energy’s expansion and to provide the dependable supply that OEMs and utilities rely on. Our long-standing focus on reliability and service ensures customers can operate with confidence, even in challenging market conditions.”

Hitachi Energy’s $70+ million investment to expand its Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania facility, doubling production capacity by the end of 2026, underscores the growing demand for high-voltage equipment. Concorde Specialty Gases is prepared to support this growth and the broader North American power sector, ensuring customers have access to the materials they need, when they need them.

With decades of experience serving major OEMs and utilities, Concorde Specialty Gases continues to invest in supply security, logistics, and technical expertise, helping customers mitigate risk and maintain operational continuity in a market where reliable delivery has become a differentiator.
